Jeju Island, Korea

Jeju Island, formerly known in the West as Quelpart Island is a volcanic island, dominated by Mount Halla, an extinct volcano 1950 meters high, which is the highest peak in South Korea.

The island was formed hundreds of millions of years ago, as a result of volcanic eruptions, and consists mainly of basalt and lava. It has a subtropical, warmer than the rest of Korea, climate where four seasons are distinguished; of the summer is rainy, and winter is very dry.

It is the only sex theme park in the world, more than one hundred large sculptures are exhibited in erotic poses, created by art students from Hongik University (Seoul), surrounded by fountains, gardens and flowers. "Enjoy our funny sex theme park," reads the welcome sign, warning that it is prohibited to under 18 and visits can not last more than 40 minutes during the day and 50 at night.
